What's amazing is how slowly that must have actually happened... Let's say is wasn't under full load and was turning ~60rpm, then that means the up stroke would have taken .5 seconds to complete. More of a just slowly coming to a halt sort of situation.
Although I'd love to see if it moved the motor at all... all that torque has to go somewhere, and a prop moving through water isn't exactly the easiest to stop.
